Salt Lake City weekly cover revision AGAIN!

This is how it ended up looking, I found this on their website.

I had a conference call today with the paper's lawyer and some one else from the paper. They said that the dont want to take any chances and that i needed to change the faces of all the women as well now!!! So i did it, the girl with the glasses I pretty much made up so i didnt change her. 2 nights in a row of revisions, no sleep for me.

I don't know if they're printing all 5 spreads or a couple it just said "book series". Also 2 of my "Jason's Smelly Pant's spreads are in the July issue in the artist gallery section (I got my own double page spread, Yay!). This is great but I need to start making some money soon!!!

illustration for black enterprise magazine

i'm doing 2 illustrations for the august issue, the second one will be done in a couple of days. They gave me 3 specific colors i had to use to match the graphic colors of the column in the mag. This one is about how mentors can really help you out. I have to do a few touches on it tommorow but its pretty much done. maybe a little heavenly glow of some sort.

Illustration Friday: Under the Sea

I'm posting this for Illustrationfriday.com this weeks theme was under the sea. I didn't have time to do a new one so I have to use this old skateboard design that I wasn't serious about at all it was just funny. Notice the horrible type and bad rendering. The only good thing is the concept which was inspired by the infamous walrus at the NY aquarium that always "pleasures" himself. When I went he really did whip it out and did this in front of all these little kids that had no idea.

its done

you cant see in the original because he is behind the counter but i drew the whole figure, complete with his little wallabys

2 more for the NY Press

an article about how both the yankees and mets are getting new stadiums. The Yankees gave the bronx community 30 million dollars for destroying the neighborhood. The mets' queens community already agreed to their deal and now after seeing the Yankee's community deal they want more.An article about a guy that keeps missing the popular book publishing deals. One book was about Godzilla and became unpopular again by the time his manuscript was ready.
